Dare-Zine VIII:
Open Call
The Art of Nature
Let the exchange of inspiration roam through thoughts, ideas,
cultures and spaces for the eighth time.
This autumn season, the theme is Nature:
the inspiration it offers for our art, and the art it incessantly creates.
1. Send us your portfolio by August 28th. We welcome artworks in any medium.
Please send the portfolios in PDF via email: info@dare-zine.com.
If the works are in audio / video format, you can provide links directly in the body of the email.
For larger files please use WeTransfer.
2. By September 1st, we'll share with all applicants the 'virtual gallery' curated by all portfolios.
Each applicant will then have the opportunity to exchange inspiration with fellow artists by creating a work in response to someone else's portfolio / specific piece by September 22nd. These interconnections will then be presented in print*.
*There's a limit of 20 authors to be showcased in the issue. Additional artistic interconnections can be presented online and / or exhibited live.
3. Final works, created specially for the issue and inspired by artists presented in the 'virtual gallery', are to be sent via email:
info@dare-zine.com no later than September 22nd.
Visual works in 2D must be scanned for best print quality possible. In case the work is larger and needs to be photographed, please make sure to use professional equipment and natural light.
We also welcome critically written articles / essays on the topic of the issue.
You can send your text(s) by August 28th via email: info@dare-zine.com. By September 1st, you will be notified about whether your text is approved for publication. If necessary, texts will be edited by our team and finalised with the respective authors by September 22nd.
